Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) was established in 1982 by H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, a Member of the Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah. He founded it to bring to life his vision of creating a nation of readers.
The rich legacy of the SIBF has extended across four decades. It promotes both cultural and intellectual growth and exchange worldwide.
The Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has crossed $50 million in sales. It's a 12-day cultural and literary event where book lovers can browse through millions of books and buy them at great prices. The fair also connects authors and publishers from all over the globe and facilitates meetings to discuss current trends and potential opportunities to work together.
